Newark jazz festival

Nathan is on of four directors who organise and run the Newark Jazz Festival.

A three day jazz festival covering a wide spectrum of jazz from New Orleans and zydeco, to big band, be-bop and beyond. Newark’s festival has proven to be a very popular event and one that Nathan is proud to be a part of.

This festival’s programme has a real emphasis on encouraging local participation and developing young talent. The East Midlands Yong Jazz Award was set up as part of a drive to promote and enthuse young players and encourage the above.
